Progressive Issue #2
The Issue

The history of humanity is usually told by its wars. Nations conquer nations. Religions battle religions. Now, terrorists—outside control of single countries—explode death and bring horror to helpless civilians in high-impact targets. A naive thought: What could people on Earth accomplish, if we lived in peace and worked together? Peace is harder to make than war.

Actions Needed
  1. End Iraq War
    • Set a timeline—and keep it.
    • Rebuild Iraq's infrastructure.
    • Withdraw all private mercenaries.

  2. Surge Diplomacy
    • Call a regional Peace Summit.
    • Appoint a motivated negotiator.
    • Involve Iraq's Arab-Islamic neighbors.

  3. Quit Imperialism
    • Restore faith in America.
    • Keep hands-off the world.
    • Serve people before profits.

  4. First Do No Harm
    • Ignore all chickenhawks.
    • Listen to serious opposition.
    • Don't spin gray into black-&-white.
